The problem
DS Plumbing already had a website and a visual identity customers recognised. The problem was what the site said: it presented the business as another everyday plumber, when the work that actually sets it apart is full bathroom fits and stove and fireplace work, flue to hearth.
So this became a rebrand that keeps the equity: same colours, same bones, a completely different story.
The approach
The site is rebuilt around the two jobs that set the business apart. The opening line, “The bathroom finished, the fire lit, the house left clean”, puts bathroom fitting and stove work side by side in the headline, with boilers and everyday plumbing in their proper supporting roles.
The photography is all theirs: real installations taken from the business's own high-resolution images, chosen so that every gallery tile reads clearly at thumbnail size. Gas Safe registration is presented as a checkable credential, not a logo in the footer.
The details
- A rebrand that kept the brand. Returning customers see the colours and structure they know; new customers see a specialist.
- Verified claims only. An aggregator listed a rating for the business that Google didn't support, so it stayed off the site. Nothing appears that can't be checked.
- Legible galleries. Every photo was tested at tile size; crops too dark or tight to read at a glance were widened or cut.
- Finished rooms in the gallery. Completed bathrooms, wet rooms and fireplaces lead the photography rather than pipework.
